The Lualualei Wastewater Pump Station (WWPS) is located within Ulehawa Beach Park on the makai side of Farrington Highway in Waianae. Consent Decree regulatory requirements necessitated a backup force main in the event that the existing force main broke.
WOC prepared an alternatives analysis report and designed the selected alternative for a new force main system. Alternatives were developed and assessed during the planning phase of the project. A dual force main was the selected alternative. This involved the construction of a new 20-inch, 3,000 foot long force main parallel to the existing force main.
