The State of Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation (HDOT) proposes to implement crossing improvements for seventy-five (75) crossings located on the islands of Oʻahu, Maui, Molokaʻi, Hawaiʻi, and Kauaʻi, of which fifty-four (54) are school crossings while twenty-one (21) are non-school crossings. The existing crossings are currently unsignalized and have standard crosswalk treatments.
WOC will document pre- and post-construction speed and pedestrian parameters, methodology, findings, and observations for each crossing.
