University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Long Range Development Plan Update and Clarence T.C. Ching Athletic Complex Improvements

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Long Range Development Plan (UHM LRDP) is a planning document that outlines capital improvements planned for the UHM campus over a near term period of 5 -10 years – the previous UHM LRDP dates back to 2007.

WOC participated in strategy meetings, assisting with the community/stakeholder engagement process, reviewing written content within the LRDP, and formulating and evaluating alternative project plans and an overarching narratives for the entire LRDP update process. As this process moved forward, unforeseen circumstances necessitated the need to include the emergency build-out of UH Lower Campus facilities, specifically the Clarence TC Ching Complex, to accommodate football games.

Planning scope included the preparation and processing of an Environmental Assessment for UH LRDP, including TC Ching Improvements.  A Traffic Impact Assessment Report and Transportation and Parking Management Plan.

WOC also prepared and processed the Plan Review Use (PRU) Permit for the LRDP and PRU Minor Modification for TC Ching Phase 2 Expansion.
